Monthly amount
The monthly amount is calculated based on your stated annual usage (or estimated energy consumption), the energy rate from the contract, fixed costs, any discounts, and cashback.
We calculate using the net annual price, which includes all costs and benefits. In the end, energy suppliers settle everything based on your actual usage using your meter readings.
Was your monthly amount too high? Then you’ll get money back in the annual statement.
Was it too low? Then you’ll need to pay the difference.
You can also adjust the monthly amount during your contract.
Monthly savings
The app shows how much you save compared to your current monthly costs.
Any one-time discount you receive is factored into your new monthly amount.
We use the simple formula:
Current monthly amount – New monthly amount = Savings
Annual savings
With every switch made through the app, you receive cashback from us, and sometimes you also get a one-time discount from your new energy provider.
Cashback and discounts are included in the calculation of your annual savings to show your net yearly benefit.
